Overview
Processes health insurance claims, undertakes actions related to the reimbursement process, and assists with the daily administration of UNSMIS email boxes.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes health insurance claims.
- Checks medical insurance claims: prior authorizations, relevant documentation, request additional information.
- Undertakes actions related to the reimbursement process: verifies and validates bills, applies reimbursement codes, and effects data validation in the MIUS and the e-Claims portal of UNSMIS.
- Assists as required to the daily administration of UNSMIS email boxes.
- Assists as required in responding to demands of insured/clients on the reimbursement rules and procedures to respect and provides relevant information related to claims.
- Acts as a backup for provision of front office client services.
- Performs other tasks that the supervisor has assigned.
Required Experience
At least three (3) years of experience in administration or related field is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Two (2) years of experience within the United Nations Common System or similar international organization is desirable. Experience with international health insurance schemes is desirable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
