ROSTER National Consultant WASH Infrastructure Construction Engineers, Indonesia
Overview
UNICEF Indonesia seeks to establish a roster of qualified WASH Infrastructure Construction Engineers to provide specialized technical support for planning, design, implementation, supervision, quality assurance, and contract management of WASH infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in infrastructure needs assessments and feasibility studies
- Conduct engineering surveys and site assessments
- Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications and BoQs
- Prepare and review bidding and procurement documents
- Perform technical evaluation of bids and proposals
- Undertake construction supervision and quality assurance
- Monitor contractor performance and contract management
- Conduct technical inspections and certification of completed works
- Develop operation and maintenance plans
- Provide capacity building of government counterparts and implementing partners in construction management
- Prepare technical reporting and documentation
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in planning, design, construction, supervision, and management of WASH infrastructure projects. Previous experience with UNICEF, UN agencies, development banks or international development organizations is desirable.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Masters) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree combined with extensive relevant professional experience may be considered. Professional engineer’s license.
