Overview
To support the implementation of the National Mental Health Care Program by strengthening mental health services, providing mentoring and supervision to health workers, and managing referral care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly Mental Health OPD in district hospitals to provide referral care and supervision sessions.
- Guide psychosocial nurses/health workers providing mental health counselling services.
- Serve as a trainer in mhGAP training sessions.
- Organize virtual case conference-based supervision sessions.
- Establish communication platforms for health care providers.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of clinical experience in mental health. Experience working at subnational level (Provinces/Districts) is desirable. Experience working in referral hospitals near to the implementing districts, including experience in providing psychiatric services, mentoring, supervision and referral/follow-up care is desirable.
Qualifications
Essential: MBBS and MD in Psychiatry. Desirable: mhGAP Training of Trainers.
