Analyst Assistant (G-7) (24523)

Overview

Provides assistance to the Analyst to increase the analytical capabilities of the VWS in order to ensure the efficiency of the ICCPP and the safety of victims and witnesses. Monitors and reviews security situations in ICC areas of operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the Analyst to increase the analytical capabilities of the VWS in order to ensure the efficiency of the ICCPP and the safety of victims and witnesses;
• Monitors and reviews security situations in ICC areas of operation, with a focus on security incidents related to victims and witnesses; and collects different types of information through various sources according to specific criteria;
• Securely registers information and other intelligence collected;
• Drafts reports and gives presentations on relevant topics;
• Reviews confidential documents and redacts sensitive information;
• Translates confidential documents and/ or provides interpretation during phone calls with protected witnesses;
• Provide analytical support to Senior Managers and Team Leaders in the absence of the Analyst;
• Protects the safety, physical and psychological wellbeing, dignity and privacy of all victims and witnesses, with regard to all relevant factors, including age, health and nature of the crime, in particular, but not limited to, where the crime involves sexual or gender violence or violence against children;
• Maintains confidentiality at all times, respects the interests of the witness and acts impartially when cooperating with all parties;
• Performs other duties as instructed by the Analyst and the Senior Manager.

Required Experience

A minimum of ten years work experience in positions clearly identified and officially labelled as analysis, or government intelligence positions involving analysis, is required; Experience with large-scale situations is desirable; International experience is desirable.

Qualifications

Diploma of Secondary Education. An advanced or a first-level university degree may be considered as a substitute for two years' working experience only to determine eligibility.
