Overview

The WASH Monitoring and Evaluation Officer supports the WASH Section and Country Office in generating, managing, and using evidence for programme planning, implementation, and monitoring. The role provides expertise in M&E, data management, analysis, reporting, and capacity strengthening.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to ensure the Country Office and national partners use a well-prioritised and realistic plan of research, monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Provide technical support to ensure timely and accurate measurement of change in conditions, including monitoring of socio-economic trends.
• Provide technical support to ensure the Country Office has quality information to assess progress towards expected results.
• Provide technical support to ensure a well-prioritised and strategic selection of evaluations is managed with quality processes and products.
• Provide technical support to ensure that the monitoring and evaluation capacities of Country Office staff and national partners are strengthened.
• Provide technical support to ensure that all tasks are carried out and accomplished through effective communication and partnerships.

Required Experience

• At least two years of relevant professional field work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation activities.
• At least one instance of exposure to emergency programming, including preparedness planning.

Qualifications

University degree in social sciences, development planning, planning, evaluation, survey implementation, advanced statistical research.
