Overview
International consultant to produce specialized, time-bound WASH-related deliverables for UNICEF's health, education, and climate portfolio in Morocco.
Key Responsibilities
Produce finalized national standards and technical guidance; develop implementation, training, and monitoring tools; conduct documented quality-assurance reviews of field activities; and create technical products supporting donor-funded initiatives.
Required Experience
Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible professional experience in WASH, including substantive work on institutional WASH in schools and/or health-care facilities. Demonstrated experience developing, adapting or implementing WASH standards, technical guidance, assessment tools or national implementation frameworks. Demonstrated experience with WASH FIT or a comparable quality-improvement approach for WASH in health-care facilities. Experience integrating climate risk, adaptation and resilience into WASH, education, health or social-sector programming and infrastructure. Experience in programme monitoring, field quality assurance, partner coordination and preparation or review of donor proposals and reports. Experience working with government institutions and facilitating participatory technical review or validation processes.
Qualifications
Masters degree in water, sanitation and hygiene; public health; environmental health; civil or environmental engineering; climate change; environmental sciences; education; public policy; international development; or another directly relevant field.
