Digital Education Officer

Overview

The Digital Education Officer will coordinate with central and local education authorities, support the co-design and implementation of the GPE Technology for Education initiative, and strengthen partner countries’ capacity to use technology to improve education access and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with central and local education authorities during data collection and verification workshops.
• Coordinate implementation activities and interpretation during workshop sessions.
• Translate core documents and prepare Terms of Reference (TOR).
• Deliver real-time interpretation during kick-off meetings and workshops.
• Translate survey instruments, Key Informant Interview (KII) protocols, and pilot findings into Lao.
• Organize and label Lao qualitative data.
• Provide on-the-ground interpretation and coordination during pilot and national field visits.
• Translate the final Minimum Digital Access Standards report and validation workshop presentation materials into Lao.
• Provide live interpretation support during validation workshops.
• Translate the Costing Model report, assessment instruments, and the final Institutional Capacity Assessment Report into Lao.
• Prepare draft presentation materials for internal review.
• Deliver interpretation during validation workshops and translate meeting notes and KII summaries from Lao to English.
• Translate relevant Lao-language budget documents, policy papers, and meeting notes.
• Translate presentation materials for validation workshops and the final Digital Access Investment Brief into Lao.
• Provide substantive inputs to other UNICEF Programme related tasks.

Required Experience

3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Education, Technology in Education, Social Science, International Development and other related areas.
