Overview
The Fund Internship Program (FIP) offers PhD students in economics an opportunity to contribute to research and policy questions at the IMF. Interns gain hands-on research experience and strengthen analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to an individual research or project assignment while working alongside experienced IMF staff. Apply academic knowledge to real-world policy and operational challenges.
Required Experience
PhD students in economics or a related field. Must be within one to two years of completing a PhD. Must be enrolled as a student at the time of the internship and return to academic studies afterward.
