Overview

Internship opportunity within the Cloud Infrastructure Services unit of UNDP's Information and Technology Management (ITM) Office in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role supports the provision and support of cloud services and aims to enable smart UN facilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Cloud Infrastructure team in provisioning and supporting Core Infrastructure and Cloud services
  • Provide advisory on and support for existing Cloud services
  • Assist in implementation and support of new Cloud services
  • Prepare and publish internal documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Prepare and conduct webinars and trainings
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Required Experience
  • Knowledge in one of the following fields is required: networking and network security (TCP/IP, NAT, firewalls), server operating systems (Windows Server and Linux), cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and their services, Mobile Device Management solutions and services
  • Knowledge in Microsoft collaboration and productivity Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of scripting languages is an advantage
  • Knowledge of web standards and technologies is an advantage
  • Experience with gathering, consolidating, and analysing data from different sources is an advantage
Qualifications
  • a. Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
  • b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
  • c. Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
  • d. Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.

Remuneration
• Monthly stipend, with the rate that varies depending on the duty location. • Where an intern is engaged in-person and is not financially supported by any institution or programme, a monthly “in-person” stipend rate is USD1,000. • A remote reduced stipend is paid by the receiving office.
