Overview

Manage the financial operations of the Sudan Health Emergency and Infrastructure Project (SHEIP) at the PCO level, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with WHO/AfDB standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and updating of project budget tracking sheets.
  • Maintain regular records of project expenditures and budget utilization.
  • Assist in tracking payment requests and maintaining financial documentation for project transactions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly financial summaries and expenditure reports.
  • Maintain organized financial records to support compliance with WHO procedures and donor requirements.
  • Assist in compiling financial documentation required for project closure.
  • Submit a report and financial closure documentation within 60 days of project completion.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience managing financial operations for donor-funded projects.
  • Experience working with WHO, AfDB, or other UN/International organizations.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing donor financial reports and liaising with external auditors.
  • Prior involvement in setting up or strengthening financial systems in large-scale health or development projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
