Overview
Provide advisory and technical assistance services in Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) for Safe Motherhood, focusing on assessment, facilitation, analysis, and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on SBCC and cultural mapping, conduct desk reviews and consultations.
- Analyze existing SBCC materials, local health beliefs, and barriers; conduct audience segmentation.
- Provide technical guidance on the design of the SBCC Strategy Planning and Consultation Workshop and develop a concept note and detailed agenda.
- Facilitate at least one SBCC strategy planning and consultation workshop.
- Document the consultation workshop, including results, analysis, and agreed action points.
- Provide final analysis on SBCC Strategy development and recommendations for messaging.
Required Experience
- At least 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing evidence-based SBCC strategies for international agencies or UN agencies.
- Experience in maternal and child health is desirable.
- Familiarity with the socio-political landscape and context of BARMM is desirable.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Development Communication, or Sociology/Anthropology.
- Certification in Social and Behavioral Change is highly preferred.
