Overview
Responsible for the maintenance, enhancements, streamlining, and simplifications of global common Payroll functions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the payroll operation support team, responsible for technical service requests' resolution, business enhancements, prepares request for changes, carries out prompt resolution of errors during all payroll processes.
- Acts as focal point for IT related matters and coordinates with IT staff for prompt resolution of system bugs.
- Reviews design and development efforts, collaborates with IT on proposals supporting system enhancements.
- Leads, contributes to complex and challenging business projects that significantly enhance efficiency, business improvement, continuity, information and performance of global payroll processes.
- Investigate technical problems or answers to queries in relation to payroll including all aspects of staff entitlements in close collaboration with corporate Human Resources, Finance, Treasury as well as external partners.
- Leads test strategies, performs functional testing of customizations and bug fixes.
- Analyses the end users' issues that lead to transaction failure/rejections and logs service requests.
- Develops reporting solution for payroll unit and generates necessary reports to support payroll operations and audit related queries.
- Carries out payroll element configurations, creates/modifies/reviews payroll fast formula, supports payroll data uploading through batches.
- Publishes/Reviews periodically system priority bugs and enhancements status reports.
- Deliver HR/Payroll ERP trainings to users, as required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least five years of experience in Payroll functions, with expertise in the Oracle Payroll module. Should have worked on at least two implementations or support projects;
- Experience in Payroll project delivery and operational support covering multi-country and multi-currency context would be an advantage;
- International experience in UN Global Payroll environment at an international professional level would be an advantage;
- Proven experience in providing exceptional customer service to team members and a proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of team members and management with high ethical standards are required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree Information Technology or Computer Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or,
- University degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge with Oracle payroll ERP.
