Overview

The role involves supporting cross-country comparative policy analysis of health system performance and conducting in-depth policy analysis for specific countries. The main purpose is to develop policy advice on improving health system performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support cross-country comparative policy analysis of health system performance.
  • Support in-depth policy analysis focusing on specific countries.
  • Undertake statistical analysis of data.
  • Contribute to the development of surveys analysing health system organisation and policy choices.
  • Organise and promote OECD meetings, workshops and seminars.
  • Carry out follow-on work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support in co-ordinating report reviews, formatting, editing and publishing.
  • Carry out other tasks on request from the Head of the Health Division.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff in other Directorates, officials in member and non-member country administrations, and academics.
  • Present findings of the work at conferences, seminars and other events.
  • Participate in missions to member and non-member countries as required.
Required Experience
  • At least two years of applied research and analysis, preferably in the area of health and health systems, acquired in a national administration, international organisation, university or research centre.
  • Experience in collecting, interpreting and analysing statistics, ideally related to health and health system performance.
  • Experience in working on health issues in different countries would be an asset.
Qualifications

An advanced university degree, i.e., at least a masters’ degree in economics, health policy or other relevant discipline.

Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Contract Duration
13-month fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal up to 36 months.

Remuneration
Depending on level of experience, monthly salary starts at 5 279 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
