Overview
Provide engineering verification and technical review during the construction of a secondary coffee processing facility. The consultant will verify that all works are implemented in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, and contractual requirements, focusing on quality, completeness, and adherence to technical, environmental, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Monthly Verification Reports on Construction Compliance and Quality, including verification of works against designs, specifications, BOQs, safety, and environmental standards, and assessment of material quality and implementation.
- Conduct site inspections to identify technical issues or deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare a Final Construction Verification Report confirming completion in accordance with scope, specifications, and standards, and identifying any remaining issues.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in on-site technical supervision or verification of civil works.
- Experience reviewing contractors’ work plans, verifying quality of materials and construction works, and ensuring implementation according to designs, specifications, and BOQs.
- Experience in conducting site inspections, identifying technical deficiencies, and recommending corrective actions.
- Experience working on multi-stakeholder projects and coordinating with contractors, local authorities, and project teams is desirable.
- Experience supporting construction sites to comply with environmental, health, and safety standards, including contractor compliance and risk management, is desirable.
- Previous experience preparing technical documentation and submitting reports to international organizations or large-scale projects is desired.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related engineering field is required.
- A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
