Overview

The consultant will provide technical maritime expertise to support Ukraine in enhancing the facilitation of international maritime traffic, focusing on the FAL Convention and port clearance procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Attend the project’s inception workshop in Ukraine.
  • Organise and deliver an in-person workshop for Ukrainian officials on the FAL Convention and port clearance procedures.
  • Provide evaluation and feedback on the workshop.
  • Submit a final report on the workshop.
  • Prepare a recommendations paper to support the Ukrainian administration in enhancing the implementation of the FAL Convention and port clearance procedures.
Required Experience

A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in maritime trade, transportation and facilitation procedures.

Qualifications

A university degree in maritime business, port administration, or public administration is essential.

Languages Required
Proficiency in English, both written and oral, is essential.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of other UN languages would be an asset.
