Overview

The CIMIC Analyst (Resilience) analyzes and assesses the impact of civil resilience on military plans and operations. This role contributes to the understanding and integration of national civil planning in support of the Deterrence and Defence of the Euro-Atlantic Area.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop ACO’s Collection Plan from the Civil Support to the Military Resilience Core Function and Resilient Civil Transportation Systems Resilience Baseline Requirement perspective.
  • Contribute to ACO’s Civil Environment Resilience related information requirements and responsibilities, including updating the Common Operating Picture (COP).
  • Contribute to the Resilience part of the Civil Environment Picture by monitoring and assessing the Resilience civil factors within the operating environment.
  • Coordinate with Political and Security Analysis (PSA) Group on analytical products and liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders on information requirements.
  • Facilitate the understanding and integration of the national civil planning in support of the Deterrence and Defence of the Euro-Atlantic Area (DDA) Family of Plans (FoP).
  • Support the PLANS and OPS processes within the Branch through coordination of activities, and Resilience raw data & analysis delivery.
  • Liaises with relevant stakeholders related to the Civil Support to the Military Resilience Core Function and Resilient Civil Transportation Systems Baseline Requirement with the Resilience Committee Groups of Experts.
  • Participating as needed in SHAPE BR events.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a Strategic/Operational HQ, an IO/NGO or private sector related to one or more of the Seven Baseline Requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience knowledge and experience on the analysis and assessment of Civil Factors.
  • Experience working within military environments and alongside multinational defence stakeholders.
  • Ability to interface, coordinate and discuss operational issues with senior officials.
Qualifications

University Degree and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
