Overview

The Inspector - Team Leader supervises the activities of the Headquarters Security Force and leads the on-duty security team to ensure the continuous and effective protection of NATO Headquarters.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the on-duty assigned HQ Security Team to ensure the security and safety of the NATO HQ.
  • Lead, respond and resolve incidents.
  • Immediately report any incidents which might impact the security of the NATO HQ, have health and safety implications, involve Host Nation Police or Security Services or are likely to bring media attention to NATO.
  • Enforce the optimal deployment of HQSF personnel and contractors to support daily and special events operations.
  • Train and build a professional and motivated team.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and clear guidance on objectives, ensuring regular, fair and objective feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and working methods to enhance overall organisational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain good professional relationships with key members at NATO HQ.
  • Deal tactfully, politely, discreetly, but firmly, with staff and visitors on-site under all circumstances.
  • Ensure that all instructions and objectives issued by PSESB management are communicated, understood and implemented by their team.
  • Perform any other related duty as assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Team Leader of a security or police/military/security force, with middle management responsibilities, in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Experienced in the use of firearms and less-lethal force equipment.
  • Experience interpreting and applying Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures and Directives related to security and resource management (e.g., human resources and equipment) would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in a diplomatic or international environment, demonstrating an understanding of protocol and intercultural sensitivity would be an advantage.
Qualifications

• Possess an educational qualification equivalent to higher secondary level.

Contract Duration
Definite duration contract of three years’ duration; possibility of an indefinite duration contract thereafter.
Work Modality
This position requires flexibility to work in a shift system outside of normal working hours including weekends, holidays, and nights sometimes at a short notice and to be deployed abroad on missions as and when required.
Remuneration
• 4,205.48 Euro (EUR) Monthly
