Overview
Provides advice and analysis on civil society relations and recommends interventions to management. Develops and manages projects to raise civil society awareness and capacity on tolerance and non-discrimination issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing advice and analysis on issues related to civil society relations and recommending interventions to ODIHR management;
- Developing and managing projects aimed at raising the awareness of civil society on issues related to tolerance and non-discrimination and increasing their capacity to monitor, respond to and report on hate crimes and other forms of intolerance;
- Designing and delivering training seminars for civil society on tolerance and non-discrimination issues;
- Ensuring adequate participation of civil society in ODIHR's activities.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience at national and international levels in the human rights field;
- Understanding of issues relating to intolerance and discrimination;
- Demonstrated experience in training design and delivery;
- Demonstrated experience in project design and implementation;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds whilst maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.
Qualifications
First-level university degree in international relations, political science, social sciences, law or other disciplines related to human rights;
