Overview

The ICT Analyst manages ICT services, develops and implements ICT management systems, and provides information management tools and technology infrastructure in the Country Office. The role involves advising on new technologies to enhance productivity and leading the ICT team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of ICT strategies and introduction of new technologies.
  • Provide leadership of the ICT team for effective and client-oriented services.
  • Analyze requirements and elaborate internal policies and procedures on ICT use.
  • Initiate CO ICT business process mapping and SOP establishment.
  • Conduct market research and introduce new technology for system updating.
  • Provide advice and assistance in procurement of ICT equipment.
  • Develop and update the ICT annual plan and road map.
  • Develop and update business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage CO hardware and software packages to meet corporate standards.
  • Develop new software and oversee development of new software packages.
  • Ensure efficient network administration and monitor computing resources.
  • Protect UNDP desktop and network resources from malicious virus attacks.
  • Monitor cloud-based backup and restoration procedures.
  • Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO.
  • Organize training for staff on ICT issues.
  • Synthesize lessons learned and best practices in ICT management.
Required Experience

Applicant with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at national or international level includes development and implementation of ICT strategies; web design and development of web-based office applications; providing technical support for Cloud ERP environments; 2 years of experience in management and supervision of ICT services and teams; working with hardware and software platforms, and telecommunications facilities; and applying advanced knowledge of database applications, web-based and cloud infrastructure management systems. Experience working with user-centered designs and conducting user research and testing.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, Software Development or related field is required. A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above field in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
