Overview

The WASH Officer will provide technical, operational, and administrative support to the WASH programme within the Country Programme. The role supports the full WASH programme cycle, from design and planning to implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and execute technical and administrative tasks for the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of WASH-related results.
• Support the full WASH programme cycle, including evidence-based programme design and planning.
• Support implementation, monitoring, and reporting on results.
• Provide technical and operational assistance for quality delivery of WASH interventions.
• Support coordination with partners and compliance with organizational procedures.
• Contribute to humanitarian WASH preparedness and response.
• Strengthen collaboration with government and partners.
• Promote innovation, learning, and capacity building to improve programme effectiveness and sustainability.

Required Experience

At least 2 years of relevant work experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Climate Change, Programme Development, Programme Management, Humanitarian Preparedness, Innovation, Networking, Capacity Building, Knowledge Management, Monitoring and Evaluation. and any other related fields.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: engineering, public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, or another relevant technical field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
