Overview
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the management, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of the Poverty Reduction through Inclusive Development Program (PRIDP). This role involves supporting project activities, liaising with partners, and ensuring effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation, approval, and revision of annual work plans.
- Plan and implement project activities in line with the work plan.
- Prepare necessary documentation for activity implementation (TOR, Request for proposals etc.).
- Support the procurement process for sub-granting.
- Liaise and coordinate with partners for feedback on project activities.
- Review/verify payment requests from downstream implementing partners.
- Ensure implementation of activities and corresponding payments.
- Review progress reports for quality and results chain explanation.
- Ensure M&E plan implementation and follow-up actions.
- Supervise project staff members.
- Identify opportunities for resource mobilization and partnership development.
- Provide technical assistance and advice to counterparts.
- Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders.
- Support research, communications, and advocacy initiatives.
- Identify priority areas for project research and advocacy.
- Devise and implement a communications and advocacy strategy.
- Organize training, workshops, and capacity building activities.
- Identify, synthesize, and document best practices and lessons learned.
- Participate in knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of professional work experience of managing and monitoring projects on livelihoods, inclusive economic empowerment, and access to services.
- Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is required.
- Experience in managing and coordinating large-value projects and assets is required.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Anthropology, or any other related field is required.
- Or A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two (2) years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
