Overview
The Monitoring and Reporting Analyst will support projects under the Regional and Local Economic Development Programme (RLEDP) by leading the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems. The role ensures effective progress monitoring, data collection and analysis, and timely preparation of high-quality reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of M&E plans and tools.
- Serve as the primary M&E focal point, coordinating with UNDP CO Strategic Unit.
- Track project performance through data collection and maintain a database.
- Lead data monitoring and analysis, ensuring triangulation of data.
- Coordinate consultants for M&E assignments.
- Contribute to annual programme reviews and planning.
- Provide inputs for evaluation ToRs and support evaluators.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality reporting documents.
- Provide substantive support for donor and stakeholder reporting packages.
- Review and validate M&E reports and supplementary materials.
- Liaise with UNDP CO teams for corporate strategic reports.
- Contribute to the Country Office annual report.
- Ensure lessons learned are documented and included in reports.
- Analyze evidence to inform management decisions and enhance Programme effectiveness.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and networking on M&E topics.
- Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Ensure mainstreaming of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
- Promote a safe, enabling environment free of discrimination and abusive behaviour.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant working experience, at the national and international level, in Monitoring and Evaluation or related development work.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
- Proven experience in developing or implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, results frameworks, indicators, baselines, targets or M&E plans for development programmes/projects.
- Prior experience in preparing donor, corporate, annual, progress, final or other results-based reports for development programmes/projects.
- Experience in collecting, validating and analysing quantitative and/or qualitative data, including maintaining databases, trackers or other monitoring tools.
- Experience in preparing data visualizations, infographics, dashboards, presentations or other analytical products to communicate programme results.
- Experience working with implementing partners, grantees, government counterparts or civil society organizations on monitoring, reporting, data collection or results documentation.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Data Analysis, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Technology, or related field is required; or A first-level degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
