Overview
The Finance & Innovation Lead will identify, assess, and profile investment opportunities for forest conservation, restoration, and stewardship, engaging private and philanthropic stakeholders to mobilize investment and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead scoping, identification, design, and delivery of forest landscape opportunities to unlock private and philanthropic investment.
- Lead FFA events design and delivery for forest landscape opportunities.
- Lead the development of thought leadership and synthesis products for forest finance and innovation.
- Build optimism and momentum through strategic communications.
- Oversight for innovative business models and financing mechanisms.
- Support engagement of corporates, asset owners/managers, insurers, philanthropies, civil society, NGOs, and governments.
Required Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience across finance, investment, banking, nature finance, innovation and/or related fields.
- Understanding of capital structures and blended finance instruments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with a focus on investors, corporates, philanthropy, and government counterparts.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to synthesize complexity and present compelling narratives in both written and oral communications.
