Overview
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to enhance decision-making for the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO), aligned with UNEP's vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance for IMEO, aligned with UNEP's vision and mission.
- Provide recommendations that enhance the IMEO leadership's ability to make well informed, strategic decisions.
- Provide advice to the Head of IMEO and support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Regular provision of advice, guidance and recommendations to support IMEO strategic decision making and long-term planning.
- Written strategic recommendations notes.
- Insights on potential new and enhanced opportunities for growth and innovation provided in writing.
Required Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in in environmental science, policy analysis, environmental advocacy, or related field
- Familiarity with the oil and gas sector, particularly related to major methane emissions sources and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Masters or Equivalent in in environmental studies, public administration or a related field
- PhP degree in in public policy, business, engineering, political science or environmental science is an asset.
