Overview
Support the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) in Sierra Leone by reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing PBF documentation to develop accessible, strategic knowledge products and compelling multimedia content for communication purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review a wide range of PBF documents including evaluation reports, programmatic reports, and knowledge products.
- Identify, extract, analyze, and summarize content into clear, concise synthesis products and engaging narratives.
- Organize content into thematic areas such as Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), Women, Peace and Security (WPS), conflict prevention, and social cohesion.
- Extract evidence of outcomes, impact, and transformative change, tailoring content for various platforms.
- Identify strong quotes, success stories, and human-interest angles.
- Use storytelling techniques to elevate narratives.
- Maintain consistency, accuracy, clarity, and professional standards.
- Ensure narratives reflect conflict-sensitive, inclusive, and gender-responsive perspectives.
- Produce content for publications, knowledge and learning materials, visibility materials, and data visualization.
- Develop scripts for video production and animation.
- Participate in online planning meetings.
- Integrate feedback and ensure consistency across materials.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in research, analysis, and synthesis of complex information.
- Strong analytical and writing skills for print, digital platforms, and social media.
- Experience working with evaluation reports, policy documents, or research outputs.
- Ability to identify key insights, trends, and narratives across large datasets/documents.
- Strong understanding of knowledge management and content development.
- Familiarity with development, peacebuilding, or humanitarian contexts.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of information.
- Experience in drafting scripts and stories for videos.
