Overview
Provide cross-country support to the LAC E&E Team, Country Offices and relevant partners for the implementation of regional projects, including the ACCESS project. Facilitate coordination with UNEP and ACCESS Consortium Partners, ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of contribution agreements and monitoring of income/expenditures.
- Draft work plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Contribute to progress, annual, and final reports.
- Support the formulation processes of new Project Documents, Initiation Plans, and Engagement Facilities.
- Ensure compliance with UNDP Financial Regulations and Rules.
- Support project operational management with Country Offices and BPPS partner.
- Perform other relevant tasks in Quantum related to M&E, Risks, Grants and Project Management.
- Support the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of procurement plans.
- Oversee and support timely procurement processes for goods and services.
- Provide information and documentation for audits.
- Execute tasks related to project creation in Quantum, budget revisions, and financial closure.
- Generate and analyze financial reports from Quantum.
- Support the organization and coordination of events.
- Support the E&E Team in monitoring regional priorities, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of regional briefs, concept notes, donor engagement materials, and knowledge products.
- Coordinate with Country Offices for regional work planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Support portfolio reviews and coordination processes with global/regional vertical funds.
- Support the organization and facilitation of regional and subregional events, communities of practice, trainings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Contribute to resource mobilization efforts.
- Create travel profiles, travel plans, travel requests, and travel claims.
- Support the preparation of job descriptions for Personnel Services Agreements.
- Coordinate and liaise with the Human Resources Unit for recruitment processes.
- Support other projects on developing project preparation documents.
- Participate in training and organize briefings on internal procedures.
- Provide support to capacity building activities.
- Make sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Support compiling and systematizing project knowledge, products and tools.
Required Experience
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Finance, Administration, Payment Processes and project management.
Desired additional skills and competencies:
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software.
- Previous experience with UNDP.
- Experience working with the UN system or international organizations.
- Experience in working with governments, donor, non-governmental organizations and development organizations.
- Experience in coordination with diverse teams at the regional and national levels.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in contract management.
- Experience in handling web-based management systems.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Project Management, Finance, Public Administration, Law, or related fields is required, or
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor´s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience, will be given due consideration in lieu of advanced university degree.
