Overview
Provide technical expertise to support the development of Fiji's NDC 3.0 Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) on transport, focusing on low carbon and resilient transport actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a costed project pipeline for transport mitigation projects and measures.
- Draft transport inputs for Fiji’s NDC 3.0 CIP.
- Participate in relevant project discussions, workshops, meetings, and events.
- Conduct detailed analysis of Fiji’s NDC 3.0 mitigation targets for transport.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize potential transport mitigation projects and measures.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for prioritized interventions.
- Lead the drafting of a comprehensive chapter for the CIP covering Transport and cross-cutting mitigation sectors.
- Coordinate and integrate transport mitigation components with other themes.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement and validation processes.
Required Experience
At least 7 years of working experience in sustainable transport, climate change mitigation, transport decarbonization, or transport finance, and demonstrated expertise in GHG accounting, transport modelling, and developing mitigation project pipelines, and transport policy analysis in the Pacific. Strong understanding of Fiji’s national climate policies and institutional frameworks.
Qualifications
Advance university degree in transport, civil engineering, energy studies, environmental science, climate change, or related field.
