Specialist Course Instructor to deliver one virtual session on "Integrated Territorial Planning: Strategies for Municipal Resilience", ensuring technical quality and pedagogical coherence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop training materials, ensuring technical accuracy and pedagogical coherence.
  • Prepare a slide presentation in PowerPoint format, aligned with the lesson plan.
  • Deliver the assigned training session, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and active participant engagement.
  • Provide post-session follow-up, including written responses to questions.
  • Participate in alignment, monitoring, and technical validation meetings.
  • Adhere to ethical principles in training delivery.
  • Comply with UN-Habitat quality standards and project requirements.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in teaching or facilitating participatory processes in Brazil is required.
  • Technical experience in territorial and environmental planning in Brazil is required.
  • Experience in climate crisis research or climate adaptation projects, with a particular emphasis on territorial and urban planning is required.
  • Experience of multilevel climate policies is desirable.
  • Previous experience within the UN System is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Climate Science, Public Policies, or related fields is required, or additional three (3) years of relevant technical experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
  • Postgraduate degree (Lato Sensu or Stricto Sensu) in Architecture and Urban Planning, Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Climate Science, or related fields is desirable.

Languages Required
• Excellent written and spoken Portuguese is required. • Fluency in Portuguese required.
Languages Preferred
• Working knowledge of English and/or Spanish is desirable.

Remuneration
• LICA 2 (part-time 20%) BRL: 5.000,00 (Total net amount). • Payment 1: Upon delivery and approval of Product 1 (BRL: 2.500,00). • Payment 2: Upon delivery and approval of Products 2 and 3 (BRL: 2.500,00).
