The Chief of Service, Conduct and Discipline, D1, is responsible for formulating and implementing the substantive work program of the Conduct and Discipline Service (CDS) and overseeing its management. The role focuses on strengthening the collective response to misconduct of UN personnel, with a focus on sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and sexual harassment (SH).
A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible professional experience in conduct and discipline, misconduct investigations or disciplinary processes, administrative or international law, accountability/compliance frameworks, or a related area in a large international organization, public administration or comparable institution is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience at the international level in a senior leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering programme, policy or oversight outputs in areas related to conduct, discipline or accountability is required. Experience in managing or overseeing misconduct, disciplinary or accountability frameworks, including prevention and response to misconduct, is required. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including government counterparts, uniformed personnel, international organizations or NGOs, is required.
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business or public administration, law or related area is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
