Overview
The Project Analyst will coordinate effective project planning and implementation, establish partnerships, and monitor progress in achieving project targets. The role aims to support local governance for resilient and low-carbon development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project planning process and ensure work plan and costed budget are prepared.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities and overall implementation process.
- Facilitate platforms for project implementation and collaborate with other units.
- Ensure implementation activities align with UNDP policy and integrate gender equality.
- Ensure operational management including procurement and resource management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with implementing partners and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder mapping and analysis.
- Provide technical support to implementing partners.
- Support resource mobilization efforts.
- Review results framework and update indicators, baselines, and targets.
- Monitor implementation and progress in achieving goals and targets.
- Identify, analyze, and manage emerging issues, problems, and risks.
- Conduct field visits to project sites.
- Liaise with Finance team for administrative and financial management.
- Prepare corporate, donor, and government reports.
- Ensure proper operational and financial closure of the project.
- Organize training, workshops, and capacity building activities.
- Identify, synthesize, and document best practices and lessons learned.
- Participate in knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Support establishment of knowledge platforms and develop knowledge resources.
- Promote advocacy on development trends and opportunities.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services, and/or hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects. Experience in managing projects, including design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, as well as supervising personnel. Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages. Knowledge and experience in climate change, green transition, sustainable local development, energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate resilience or closely related fields.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, Energy Sciences, Environmental Science, or related field is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
