Overview

The Information Management Casual Worker supports the Site Management Team in collecting, verifying, entering, updating, and organizing site-level and household-level data related to displacement sites. The role contributes to maintaining accurate and timely information on population figures, site conditions, services, needs, referrals, and ongoing activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the collection, recording, and timely submission of site, household, activity, and service-related information through household surveys, key informant interviews, monitoring visits, and approved data collection tools.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and regular updates to records in Excel, Kobo, trackers, or other designated databases.
  • Conduct basic data quality checks by identifying missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or unclear information, reporting issues to the supervisor, supporting corrections as instructed, and verifying information against available source documents.
  • Organize electronic and paper records using the filing system provided by the team.
  • Rename, sort, scan, and archive documents and support records.
  • Support the filing of documents related to assessments, meetings, trainings, distributions, referrals, and field activities.
  • Ensure documents are stored and shared only through approved channels.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of personal, sensitive, and programmed-related information by following DRC data protection procedures, using only approved systems and communication channels, and ensuring information is accessed, stored, and shared only with authorized personnel.
  • Carry out other basic data entry, filing, documentation, or field support tasks assigned by the Site Management Team Leader or Officer.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience in data entry, data collection, administrative support, surveys, registration, or humanitarian activities is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Basic ability to use Microsoft Excel, including entering data, sorting information, and using simple filters.
  • Previous exposure to Kobo, ODK, Google Sheets, or similar data collection tools is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Secondary school completion is required.
  • A diploma or university education in information technology, business administration, statistics, social sciences, engineering, or another relevant field is an advantage but is not mandatory.
  • Relevant practical experience may be considered.
