The Associate Field Security Officer (AFSO) will be assigned to the Country Office in Ukraine to provide security advisory and support. The role involves planning and coordinating security operations, executing missions requiring security support, and monitoring security situations.
A minimum of two years (four years with a first level university degree) of progressively responsible, security-related relevant professional experience, including security-related experience working in a police, military or security force service with experience at field officer level or equivalent; Experience in conflict/post-conflict zones in an operational role (peacekeeping, humanitarian or other operations) would be an advantage.
Advanced university degree in security related field such as security or emergency management/planning, disaster management, law, social/political sciences, public/business administration (with focus on security management), international relations and police/military sciences. A first level university degree in combination with relevant and qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Police, military or comparable law enforcement training and/or equivalent qualifications combined with 8 years of relevant security-related experience may be considered in lieu of a university degree.
