Overview

The Assistant Strategic Visibility Officer will assist in developing and disseminating content to enhance the visibility and impact of the Trust Fund for Victims' programmes and fundraising strategy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, edit and proofread public information materials, including press lines, statements, newsletters, web content and social media content.
  • Support the development and finalisation of content for the TFV website.
  • Support the preparation of scripts and narratives for audio-visual products.
  • Assist in preparing communication packages for campaigns, events and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Draft, edit and finalise institutional and donor reports, written summaries, and other documentation.
  • Translate complex legal, reparations and programmatic information into clear, accurate and accessible reporting.
  • Provide reporting support to the TFV Executive Director.
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates, calendars and trackers.
Required Experience
  • Knowledge of reporting, communications, donor relations or a legal/judicial environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability in drafting institutional or donor reports, and demonstrable affinity with the areas of reparative justice, transitional justice and/or victims' rights, would be considered an asset.
  • Experience within an international organisation is desirable.
Qualifications

Advanced university degree in law, communications, journalism, international relations, political or social sciences or a related field is required. A specialisation in international criminal law, reparative or transitional justice would be considered an asset. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience is accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (English or French) is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) would be considered an asset.
