Overview
Provide technical and operational support to a project team in compiling, organizing, and documenting information related to gender equality, social inclusion, and community livelihoods for a GEF Project Preparation Grant.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a gender analysis relevant to the project’s circumstances and targets.
- Assist in developing a gender strategy and a detailed gender action plan.
- Support the preparation, formatting, and consolidation of draft gender-related documents.
- Compile and organize baseline information related to community livelihoods.
- Support the consolidation of technical inputs and supporting documentation for livelihood-related components.
- Organize project files, consultation records, meeting materials, and other supporting documentation.
- Perform other related technical and operational support tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of experience working on gender and livelihood development – preferably in a relevant sector such as fisheries, agriculture or forestry, etc.
- Experience in preparing gender action plan and integrating gender considerations into the project design.
- Experience in conducting gender analysis, socioeconomic and stakeholder consultation.
- Experience in working with government agencies, NGOs, local communities, Indigenous Peoples, and development partners.
Qualifications
Master’s or equivalent degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Environmental Economics or a related field
