Overview

Provide technical and operational support to a project team in compiling, organizing, and documenting information related to gender equality, social inclusion, and community livelihoods for a GEF Project Preparation Grant.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a gender analysis relevant to the project’s circumstances and targets.
  • Assist in developing a gender strategy and a detailed gender action plan.
  • Support the preparation, formatting, and consolidation of draft gender-related documents.
  • Compile and organize baseline information related to community livelihoods.
  • Support the consolidation of technical inputs and supporting documentation for livelihood-related components.
  • Organize project files, consultation records, meeting materials, and other supporting documentation.
  • Perform other related technical and operational support tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience working on gender and livelihood development – preferably in a relevant sector such as fisheries, agriculture or forestry, etc.
  • Experience in preparing gender action plan and integrating gender considerations into the project design.
  • Experience in conducting gender analysis, socioeconomic and stakeholder consultation.
  • Experience in working with government agencies, NGOs, local communities, Indigenous Peoples, and development partners.
Qualifications

Master’s or equivalent degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Environmental Economics or a related field

Languages Required
Working knowledge (Level C) of English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Languages Preferred
Familiarity with FAO and GEF Environmental and Social Safeguards is an asset. Experience in supporting GEF or other internationally funded project preparation is desirable.
