Overview
The World Bank Group’s Young Professionals Program (YPP) offers exceptional professionals the opportunity to apply their specialized technical expertise, broaden their experience, and contribute to solutions to development challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and institutions, applying expertise to help address pressing development challenges and improve lives.
- Complete three eight-month rotations: one with primary function, one cross-institutional, and at least one in a country office.
- Undertake a structured learning and development journey including technical and operational training, language programs, negotiation and business skills, and leadership development.
- Receive individual coaching, connect with mentors, and participate in strategic dialogues with senior leaders.
- Support client countries in building capacities for Digital and AI use.
- Support WBG regions providing financing to governments for digital investment projects and policy reforms.
- Support WBG regions providing advisory services including policy guidance, technical assistance, and capacity building.
- Produce knowledge products including data and diagnostics, research and thought leadership, and thematic operational toolkits.
- Convene key stakeholders to advance global digital transformation.
Required Experience
- 2-6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience contributing to operations, analytical work, or advisory services within development organizations.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s degree in a field related to this role.
