Drive OHCHR's advocacy and communications strategy, providing strategic leadership and direction for the Communications and Mobilization Section. Oversee the quality of all communication products and services to ensure global reach and measurable benefits.
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in public information, strategic communications, journalism, international relations, public administration or related area, is required. A minimum of five years of managerial experience is required. Experience in digital outreach and the use of social media is required. Experience working within the United Nations common system or similar international organization is required. Proven track record of excellent management, including results-based management and experience managing staff, budgets and planning, is required. A minimum of three years of experience in human rights, development, humanitarian or any other relevant areas is desirable. A minimum of three years of experience in the field is desirable.
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in communications is required. A first-level university degree in communications, in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
