Overview

Provide analytic and technical support for the implementation of Unitaid's strategy, focusing on medicines, diagnostics, and preventive health products for HIV and related areas. Identify and develop new topics and approaches for Unitaid's support in low- and middle-income countries.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analytic and technical support for Unitaid's strategy implementation.
  • Identify, develop, and validate new topics/approaches for Unitaid's support.
  • Manage proposal selection processes, including drafting calls for proposals and strategic assessment.
  • Design and manage analyses to inform Unitaid's opportunities and strategic design.
  • Provide strategic support and technical expertise to project teams.
  • Collaborate on the development of theories of change and assessment of impact.
  • Support the design and maintenance of data on manufacturers, procurement agents, and health commodities.
  • Lead strategy projects, including developing market-based interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis, including product pipeline review, demand analysis, and supply environment analysis.
  • Draft and deliver reports, presentations, and briefing notes.
  • Represent Unitaid at conferences and external meetings.
  • Leverage networks of experts and global health stakeholders.
Required Experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in health strategies with a focus on healthcare tools (therapeutics, diagnostics, preventive tools).
  • At least 3 years of experience in analysis of health products for HIV and related coinfections in resource-limited settings.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting design and application of market-based interventions for health products in resource-limited settings.
  • Demonstrated experience at the international level with established networks of global health partners in HIV and related areas.
Qualifications

Advanced level University degree in international development, health economics, public health /infectious disease, pharmacy, health policy or innovation.

Remuneration
Annual base salary starting at USD 86,027, a variable post adjustment of USD 6043 per month. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
