Overview
This internship offers hands-on experience in cybersecurity tasks and related activities under the supervision of an Information Systems Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the creation of documents, templates and presentations.
- Assisting in the development and review of cybersecurity awareness materials.
- Providing basic technical support to users.
- Supporting the delivery of cybersecurity services in operations, architecture, risk management and identity and access management.
- Participating in the review of documents, training sessions, testing activities and resilience exercises.
- Ensuring cybersecurity-related requests are logged, tracked, resolved, documented and closed.
- Assisting in reviewing and tracking identified vulnerabilities.
- Supporting the use and maintenance of cybersecurity applications/tools.
- Performing other tasks as required.
Required Experience
No professional work experience is required.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in information technology or another related field. Recent completion of or enrolment in a Master’s programme in the same field will be considered an advantage.
Other Details
Languages Required
A good command of either English or French and a basic knowledge of the other language is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of other official languages of the United Nations would be an asset.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
