CFA 2026 004 | National Project Officer | Emergency Response | Roster only

Overview

This Call for Applications aims to establish a roster of qualified candidates for emergency response operations. Roster members may be mobilized to support surge staffing requirements during disasters and humanitarian response operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support with the coordination and monitoring of operational, administrative and financial aspects of the project.
• Keep the supervisor informed on project implementation status, identify gaps and suggest improvements.
• Participate in the development and adjustment of work plans, project budgets, M&E tools and SOPs.
• Coordinate data collection, verification and analysis; update information management systems and social media platforms.
• Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports.
• Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, UN agencies, local authorities and stakeholders.
• Contribute to planning, development, organization and delivery of capacity building activities.
• Attend relevant working groups, interagency coordination meetings, and other forums.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to project staff.
• Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation, monitoring visits, assessments, and liaison with counterparts.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required Experience

• Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields.
• Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
• Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
• Extensive experience in implementing or overseeing humanitarian or emergency response operations.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with national- and/or regional-level government counterparts, donors, and inter-agency clusters.
• Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
• Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
