Heating and Energy Efficiency Engineer

Overview

Provide technical support for the energy efficiency component of a project in Armenia, focusing on wood stove technology analysis, adaptation, and testing to meet energy-efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify wood stove requirements for target households.
• Review and finalize vocational school mapping and assess capacity.
• Review national policy documents related to rural energy access.
• Conduct comparative analysis of existing woodstoves and recommend preferred options.
• Document review and analysis outcomes in technical notes.
• Support validation of laboratory testing results for woodstoves.
• Develop guidance materials on safety measures for woodstove production, testing, and use.
• Prepare tender documentation for woodstoves and participate in evaluation.
• Facilitate approval and oversee delivery of woodstoves.
• Organize and deliver training activities for producers.
• Support beneficiary identification, selection, and woodstove installation.
• Provide support to international experts.
• Support the design of training materials.

Required Experience

Minimum 7 years of professional experience in heating, heat assessments, energy efficiency, household heating demand, heating appliances (design and selection), or a related technical field.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a closely related field.
