Overview
Support the nationwide HPV vaccination programme and strengthen routine immunization by turning behavioural evidence into practical strategies. The role aims to help children and families overcome barriers to vaccination, strengthen demand and community engagement, and build confidence in vaccines.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate, synthesize and translate social and behavioral evidence into actionable recommendations for vaccination programmes, policies and SBC interventions.
- Provide technical assistance to national and sub-national partners in the design, implementation and quality assurance of evidence-based SBC, demand generation and community engagement strategies for HPV vaccination and routine immunization.
- Strengthen SBC capacities of government, partners and UNICEF teams and support the development, documentation and dissemination of tools, learning resources, good practices and lessons learned.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and documentation of SBC interventions and use findings to strengthen programme effectiveness, accountability and learning.
- Contribute to efforts to institutionalize SBC within government systems and functions, including workforce development, governance and coordination, planning and budgeting, evidence generation, and partnerships with academic and other strategic institutions.
Required Experience
2 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Social and Behavior Change, Health and Nutrition, Health, Nutrition, social and behavior change, immunization programs, public health, community engagement, risk communication, demand generation, health communication, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, stakeholder coordination and any other related fields.
Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Social Science, Social Communication, Sociology, Anthropology, Development Studies, Communication Science, Communications, Psychology, Science, Sciences, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communications, public health, behavioral science and any other related fields.
