National Consultant (Communication Expert Radio) – EU OACPS Business Friendly Project in Liberia

Overview

The consultant will be responsible for delivering measurable outreach, knowledge-sharing, and communication outputs related to the coffee sector through radio communications and outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interactive radio sessions and produce stakeholder testimonials.
• Co-host weekly radio programmes covering coffee cultivation, processing, consumption and trade.
• Implement public awareness activities to promote coffee consumption and raise awareness of the economic and cultural importance of the coffee sector.
• Conduct live broadcasts from relevant coffee sector activities and support cross-promotion through media and online platforms.
• Implement mechanisms to collect and analyse listener feedback.
• Submit progress and final reports covering activities implemented, audience reach, feedback, results achieved and recommendations.
• Support the sensitization of coffee farmers in key counties.
• Utilize open-air radio sessions and other relevant radio programming to disseminate information on the EU-funded ACP Business Friendly Programme.
• Collect, document and broadcast testimonials from relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with national and international trainers and experts.
• Lead initiatives aimed at increasing public awareness and understanding of coffee consumption and trade in Liberia.
• Develop and disseminate informative content addressing the economic, technical and cultural aspects of coffee.
• Develop and manage a monthly work plan and submit relevant reports.

Required Experience

• A minimum of five (2) years of relevant professional experience in radio communication for agri-business related projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in implementing EU-funded projects.
• Experience of working with international/donor organizations or in national development agencies.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate university degree in communication, social sciences, business administration, economics, or other related fields.
• Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree.
• Practical audio-visual training would be an asset.
