MEAL Specialist
Overview
Provide technical support for planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities for projects implemented by the FAO Representation in Sierra Leone. Contribute to effective programme implementation, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous organizational learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance for MEAL and gender-responsive requirements.
- Guide enhancement of projects' gender-responsive logical frameworks and selection of indicators.
- Develop and manage project Risk Management Matrices with gender-responsive risk analysis.
- Support baseline assessments and gender analyses.
- Ensure data collection captures sex-disaggregated and social inclusion data.
- Monitor and assess gender and youth inclusion outcomes.
- Supervise beneficiary data collection and lead post-distribution monitoring.
- Support gender-sensitive focus group discussions and social protection assessments.
- Guide documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
- Organize quarterly field monitoring missions.
- Work with the Operations Team to establish and maintain databases for project and corporate reporting requirements.
- Support project teams with analytical information and evidence.
Required Experience
At least five (5) years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation accountability and learning (MEAL), data analysis, data visualization, and/or information management specially in the field of agriculture and disaster risk reduction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Management Information System, Economics, Data Science, Agriculture, Nutrition or related degree programs.
