Data Management Consultant

Overview

The Data Management Consultant will be responsible for implementing information management functions within Shelter, SMC, and DRU Units, focusing on data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data collection tools and databases.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, deduplication, and consolidation of datasets.
• Prepare information management products, including dashboards, reports, and maps.
• Coordinate the timely release of information products.
• Maintain data storages and documentation.
• Prepare technical guidance materials and deliver training.
• Support monitoring and evaluation by contributing to indicator formulation and verifying reported figures.
• Participate in information management working groups and respond to ad hoc data requests.

Required Experience

• Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management/Technology, Statistics, Social Sciences, Geography, or related fields, or six years of relevant professional experience with a High School diploma.
• Experience in Information Management related tasks, including data collection, cleaning, and analysis, and development of Information Management Products.
• Experience in drafting survey questionnaires and reports on humanitarian operations.
• Advanced experience in the use of Information Management related software and applications such as KoboToolbox, Power BI, and ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
• Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Lebanese migration context, challenges faced by migrants, gaps and responses implemented by UN and NGOs, Community-based initiatives, and interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree Information Management/Technology, Statistics, Social Sciences, Geography, or related fields from an accredited academic institution or High School diploma.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
