Shelter & WASH Technical Officer Ukraine Dnipro

Overview

Provide technical support and quality control for Shelter and WASH projects, ensuring timely and compliant implementation according to strategy, budgets, and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural assessments of buildings and WaSH facilities and propose technical solutions.
• Prepare technical information for work plans, specifications, BoQs, cost estimates, drawings, and tender documents.
• Review contract claims and variation orders, assess work completion, and prepare payment recommendations.
• Provide technical support to contractors and beneficiaries, and supervise construction works.
• Ensure quality of materials and workmanship according to technical specifications.
• Involve and inform communities and local authorities about activities.
• Support municipalities and public bodies on project design and engineering.
• Coordinate with humanitarian organizations and relevant partners.
• Ensure projects target beneficiaries most in need and explore better assistance methods.
• Ensure timely distribution of materials and equipment.
• Ensure correct data tracking for all interventions and prepare progress reports.
• Assist line manager in drafting reports and other assigned duties.

Required Experience

• Experience in structural assessments of buildings and WaSH facilities.
• Experience in preparing technical information for work plans, specifications, BoQs, cost estimates, drawings, and tender documents.
• Experience in reviewing contract claims and variation orders.
• Experience in providing technical support to contractors and beneficiaries.
