Overview
Support the delivery of services and transactions in specialized operational areas and contribute to the overall goal of WHO's presence in Solomon Islands.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of services and transactions in areas such as human resources management, procurement, and information technology management.
- Share information with clients, staff and partners on procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain consistency in approach and adherence to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Support the delivery of standard processes, transactions, services and work products.
- Escalate areas for process and procedure improvement to the supervisor.
- Support training in business operations support for clients and staff.
- Perform finance-support services including imprest accounts and payments, budget administration, financial monitoring, income and awards administration.
- Support human resources plan administration including contract management, recruitment, selection, onboarding and briefing.
- Procure goods/services including purchase requisitions, tender/bidding process and supplier management.
- Administer inventory of supplies and organizational assets.
- Support travel administration, processing requests, visa issuances, flight and hotel bookings.
Required Experience
Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in administrative or clerical functions. Desirable: Experience in administrative support positions within WHO or another United Nations agency. Experience in Oracle-based systems or another enterprise resource planning system.
Qualifications
Essential: Completion of secondary or high school. Desirable: Training and certification in one or more UN operational service areas or systems.
