Overview

This role focuses on gender-based violence programming for men and boys in humanitarian settings. The specialist will design, implement, and advise on programmes for affected populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, or advising on programmes for men and boys affected by gender-based violence.
• Engaging in gender-based violence coordination and programme development.
• Conducting capacity strengthening activities.
• Facilitating stakeholder engagement with government, civil society, and community actors.
• Applying survivor-centred approaches and international standards.

Required Experience

• Minimum seven years of professional experience in gender-based violence, protection, conflict-related sexual violence, mental health and psychosocial support, human rights, or related humanitarian programming.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, or advising on programmes for men and boys affected by gender-based violence, including survivors of sexual violence, veterans, or conflict-affected populations.
• Proven experience in gender-based violence coordination, programme development, capacity strengthening, stakeholder engagement, and working with government, civil society, and community actors.
• Experience in conflict-affected settings, particularly in Ukraine or Eastern Europe, is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Law, Public Health, or another relevant field.
