Overview
The Programme Management Consultant will provide experienced capacity to manage substantive workstreams, maintain essential PMO services, and support the delivery of the ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations across all projects in the portfolio.
- Regularly assess project performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure projects follow PMO governance standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Monitor project status, quality, and performance, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Facilitate project reviews and ensure that issues and risks are escalated in a timely manner.
- Support the design, implementation, adoption and continuous improvement of the PMO Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platform, including portfolio structures, workflows, dashboards, reporting, governance processes and data quality.
- Continuously evaluate and improve PMO tools, ensuring they are effective in tracking, reporting, and managing projects.
- Collaborate with other PMO team members to ensure that new tools and processes are rolled out smoothly.
- Provide support to the fund wide critical project and work closely with the project manager to ensure maximum impact and optimum results
- Mentor and guide project managers, providing advice on complex project issues.
- Ensure effective collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring all relevant parties are involved in project planning and execution.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in project management practices for the Project managers.
- Ensure that the portfolio of projects is aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
- Work with senior leadership to assess and prioritize projects within the portfolio, ensuring that organizational objectives are met, and support demand management, resource and capacity planning, benefits tracking and portfolio prioritization.
- Maintain and improve project and portfolio performance reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders, including portfolio health, prioritization, resource/capacity information, risks, benefits and critical milestones.
- Provide regular project and portfolio status updates to senior management, including performance, risks, and critical milestones.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure consistency across projects.
- Proactively work with the risk management unit and project managers to identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies across the portfolio of projects.
- Work with the security team and project manager to ensure any security related risks and issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner
- Work with Business Transformation Unit and Communication team to ensure the Process Reengineering, change management and communication of the project effort is done efficiently.
- Work with the license provider and system integrator of the highly critical project to ensure good working relationship and smooth operation.
Required Experience
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, or related area is required. Experience in successfully managing and completing complex project(s) in a multicultural environment is required. Working experience in the pension (or financial) ERP system is required. Experience in implementing projects and Programs end to end including process improvement, Project planning and implementation, Project tracking, documentation, reporting and dashboard is required.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, computer science, information systems or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A professional certification in project management, such as Project in Controlled Environment Version 2 (PRINCE2), Project Management Professional (PMP) or any other equivalent project management certification, is required.
