Overview
MIGA is seeking a Vice President, Operations to lead the Operations team, advance MIGA's brand, and originate impactful programs and projects to mobilize private finance for development in Emerging Market and Developing Economies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight for the execution of MIGA’s Strategic Business Plan.
- Provide leadership in ensuring that the Guarantee Platform plays a catalytic role as a platform for private capital mobilization.
- Strengthen and elevate MIGA’s operational partnership with the World Bank Group.
- Provide strategic leadership and operational guidance in shaping and positioning the “future MIGA”.
- Drive the growth of MIGA through proactive engagement with private and public sector clients, financial institutions, governments, sovereign and sub-sovereign entities, and other development partners.
- Provide strong operational leadership across MIGA’s portfolio of issued guarantees.
- Build and inspire a high-performing, globally connected Operations team.
Required Experience
A minimum of 15 years of progressive relevant experience in leading and managing teams in public and/or private sectors and development-oriented institutions covering areas such as public and private finance, capital market development, risk insurance, or related complex commercial transactions. Recognized track record in business development, thought leadership, and innovation, with familiarity with investment analysis and insurance portfolio management. Credibility across public and private sectors, with proven effectiveness in influencing diverse stakeholders and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder global organizations. Demonstrated people leadership skills. Proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed, globally dispersed, and multicultural organizations, with deep familiarity with developing and emerging markets. Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communicator and presenter, with strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Degree in economics, finance, political science or related areas.
