Graphic Design Support
Overview
Provide graphic design support for the Early Response Team (ERT) under the Peace and Security Pillar of the OHCHR Regional Office for Southern Africa. The role involves developing visually engaging analytical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop templates and layouts for country/ regional snapshots and thematic briefs;
- Design fact sheets, notes, and other products using ERT-provided content;
- Present data through charts, maps, timelines, icons, and other visuals.
- Establish a consistent visual identity aligned with OHCHR branding.
- Create reusable and editable templates for future use.
- Format complex information for clarity.
- Incorporate feedback and deliver finalised, publication‑ready versions.
- Maintain organized source files.
Required Experience
Proven experience in graphic/publication design and layout. Strong skills in information design, visual hierarchy, and data presentation. Proficiency in tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or equivalents. Ability to develop reusable templates and present information visually. Attention to detail, consistency, and ability to meet deadlines. Experience with UN or similar organisations would be an advantage. A portfolio demonstrating relevant design work is required.
